This Privacy Policy explains how Chance Stevens ("I," "me," or "my"), a Mortgage Loan Originator licensed through American Family Funding, a division of American Pacific Mortgage Corporation ("AFF/APM," NMLS #1850), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit chanceatfinance.com (the "Site") or submit information through any form, email, or phone call associated with my services.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to visitors of the Site and to consumers who submit information through forms, quizzes, email, phone, or other channels connected to my mortgage and real estate services. Additional disclosures and consents will apply if you proceed to a formal loan application; those are governed by AFF/APM's disclosures and applicable federal and state law.
2. Information I Collect
Information you provide
- Contact information — name, email, phone number, city/ZIP.
- Inquiry details — target rate, purchase timeline, current loan terms, property type, quiz answers, uploaded Loan Estimates or other documents you choose to share.
- Communication content — emails, voicemails, and notes from our conversations.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referral source, and timestamps, collected through Google Analytics 4 and (only with your consent) the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel.
- Cookies & similar technologies — the Site uses Google Analytics 4 for first-party measurement and, only after you opt in, the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement and retargeting. You can change your choice anytime via the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the site footer or the control in Section 8, or disable cookies in your browser.
3. How I Use Your Information
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up with relevant information.
- Evaluate preliminary mortgage fit and, if you move forward, prepare for a formal application.
- Send rate alerts, educational content, and scheduling reminders you have consented to receive.
- Maintain business records and comply with applicable mortgage, licensing, and marketing laws.
- Improve the Site, forms, and communications based on aggregated usage patterns.
4. Email Communications
By submitting a form on the Site, you consent to receive emails from Chance Stevens related to your inquiry, rate alerts, scheduling, and educational content. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time. If you voluntarily provide a phone number (always optional), it is used only for a manual phone call about your request — no automated or marketing text messages are sent. Opt-in data and consent records are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
5. How I Share Information
I do not sell your personal information. I share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Lender / brokerage partners — if you proceed to a formal application, I share your information with AFF/APM and, as applicable, the specific lender(s) to whom your file is submitted.
- Service providers — platforms I use to run my business, including Netlify (website hosting and form processing), Google Analytics (analytics), Meta Platforms (advertising pixel, only if you opt in), email-delivery tools, calendar/scheduling tools, and document storage. These providers are contractually required to safeguard your information.
- Legal and regulatory — when required by law, subpoena, regulatory request, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of business assets, in which case your information would remain protected under this policy.
6. Data Retention
I retain your information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide ongoing services, and comply with legal and regulatory record-keeping requirements. When information is no longer needed, I take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Security
I use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission via Netlify (my hosting and form provider). No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure; you share information at your own risk.
8. Your Rights
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request that I disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information I have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared. You also have the right to request deletion of your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information. I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. However, if you opt in to the optional Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel, that use may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. You can opt out at any time using the control below, the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the site footer, or a browser-based global privacy control. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

- Access or correction — email me to request access to or correction of your information.
- Opt out of marketing — click the one-click unsubscribe link in any email, or email me directly.
- Delete account / data — email me and I will honor valid deletion requests subject to legal record-keeping obligations.
9. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to external websites (for example, nmlsconsumeraccess.org). I am not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, please contact me so I can delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected on the Site.
